Highly recommend as it greatly adds to the experience at camp. From the Coaches Get ready to work hard, have fun and learn a ton!
Since 2010, RTA has hosted 30+ training camps in Lake Placid. Over the years, we have PERSONALLY & directly coached 150+ athletes for IRONMAN Lake Placid (MANY first timers as well as several Ironman World Championship Qualifiers) and have raced it personally, a combined 12 times. Additionally, we have a townhome in LP and have been visiting the Adirondacks year-round for over 10 years. As a result, we know the area and virtually every inch of the course. Whether you are racing IRONMAN Lake Placid or just looking for an incredible training weekend in a beautiful area in prep for a different triathlon, we invite you to join us at this camp. We welcome you to experience and enjoy our favorite place on earth. -Coaches Chris & Elizabeth |
I cannot say enough about RTA’s KYAH training camps. The information and training I received at camp completely prepared me for race day. Everyone at camp was so friendly and supportive.” -Susan |
We have done 6 camps with RTA. Each go according to plan: hard work, great education and a lot of fun. The level of professionalism and leadership is outstanding. I have always been very impressed with the logistics and preparation behind the scenes." - Fernando & Giancarlo |
I went to RTA’s Training Camp in Lake Placid and it was by far the best thing I did in the lead up to my race. I came home feeling 100% confident I could complete the race." -Marlene |

Campers reflect on KYAH...
This camp is finished! I really saw what I was made of this week. Getting through the past 4 days proved to myself I was ready for 140.6. Thanks to RTA for running the hardest/best camp on the planet :) -Khaleeqa |
KYAH’s May camp exceeded every expectation I had. As a non-RTA member, I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of how much personal attention I’d get. The other members of the group were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I felt right at home. -Matt T |
My first KYAH experience was just amazing. I learned so much and also got to know some inspiring people who push themselves everyday. Going in, I thought this was going to be over my head, but I surprised myself with what you can accomplish with the right people by your side. -Eric K |
The camp provided an excellent transition from Olympic distance to Half IM all in the beautiful, Lake Placid environment. Above all, I got to know some fantastic, supportive people. In such an individualized sport, it’s great to give and receive encouragement. These are the types of experiences I will never forget. - Pete |
