Feeling Stressed & Unaccomplished? I feel like this whole COVID-19 pandemic has created a sense of purgatory for many. Or your own personal Ground Hog’s Day. Where you’re kind of just stuck in between. In the middle of nowhere. However you want to describe it – it likely adds some unwelcome tension and stress to your life and today I’m here to offer a couple suggestions to help manage this and help you feel better. — Short VIDEO at the Bottom -- My Personal Stress Reliever I don’t know about you, but going for a run or any form of exercise is my personal stress reliever. It helps to calm any anxiety and clears my mind. When my mind is clear and free, I feel like a better person. I’m more present with my family, I’m more productive with work and I’m much more pleasant to be around :) What I’m trying to say, is daily exercise is a part of my lifestyle. It’s actually my personal form of mediation and therapy. And I think it should be incorporated into everyone’s daily routine – in some form. Exercise:
Make Fitness a Priority So even though or even IF your race gets canceled, I urge you to continue to make training or fitness a priority. You will feel better about yourself mentally and physically. Find Someone or Something to Keep You Accountable If you need help staying on track, especially while fitness facilities are closed and races continue to get canceled, consider hiring a coach or trainer to keep you motivated and hold you accountable. If that’s not in the cards, find a training program to follow. Something, … anything that will keep you chugging along. You owe it to yourself, your family and everyone else in your life.
