Virtual 5k Get in shape (or stay in shape) by joining the Community Support Virtual 5k. Heck, why not get the entire family involved?!? Included with your registration is a “couch to 5K” 12 week training program. The program will guide you and keep you accountable. Don’t need the training program? No problem. Think of your registration for the Virtual 5k as your pledge to support your community against COVID-19 / Corona Virus. You Can Make a Difference Your registration fee will support small businesses AND those on the front lines keeping us safe and caring for those who are sick. (details below) Anyone can do join the Virtual 5k from ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. You can start it anytime you’d like. And you can complete the 5K at the end of the 12 week program or ANYTIME that works best for you. UPDATE: FIRST, it’s NOT too late to sign up and get involved (Sign Up below). 4/14 We are now up to $916! Our goal is $1,000+ … ALMOST THERE! 4/6 We have now raised a total of $796. Gift cards have been purchased (from Ridgewood Hot Bagels, Kilwin’s & Renato’s Pizza) and distributed to Valley Hospital healthcare workers and others on the frontline. Thanks to everyone who has participated. EVERYONE involved has been extremely grateful. Special thanks to Valley ER doctor, Dr. Jenn Raman for helping to distribute DETAILS: Like so many of our small business friends, we have been dramatically impacted by this pandemic. In an effort to stay afloat, we are trying our best to offer more virtual services and get creative with our “new” way of living. When you sign up, you’ll be able to download a 12 week “Couch to 5K” run/walk plan we have created. This program is literally for ANYONE that can comfortably walk for 30 minutes. It will be a mix of daily run/walk workouts which will build you to the ultimate goal of a 5K! Hopefully this plan will give you some motivation and guidance to keep you fit and moving during these times. The Best Part 50% of your $30 registration fee will be used to purchase gift cards from local businesses and restaurants and given to the healthcare workers at Valley Hospital, the sanitation workers in town, and our first responders. Stay safe & remain healthy. Thanks for your support,
